Fiona Caffery – Director
Fiona has been in the travel industry for over 30 years. Her two great passions in life are her family and travel. Her love for travel was instilled in her from an early age by her parents. Her childhood was filled with travel adventures with her three siblings. Road trips throughout Victoria, NSW, Queensland and a 12 week round world trip covering UK, Europe and USA in a campervan.
As an adult, she has continued to build on her early travel experiences. She has travelled extensively in all States of Australia – the highlights being road trips in the Kimberley from Darwin to Broome on the Gibb River Road and south-west Western Australia from Perth to Esperance via Margaret River.
International travel has included Fiji, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, USA, Canada, South America, ( Peru and Argentina) UK and Europe ,Maldives, Mauritius and South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe.

Fiona believes that travel is about the joy of exploration and discovery. It is good to research and plan your next great adventure to maximise your holiday experience. it is also good to allow unplanned time to just explore, get lost, follow your nose or your gut instinct and find something unexpected.
In 2008 Fiona founded her own business Travel Sense. Fiona prides herself in offering a high level of personalised customer service to all her clients whilst utilising her many years of travel experience to create the perfect holiday or business travel experience.
Travel is about learning and understanding of other people’s and other cultures. It is about understanding our environment and what we can do to protect its future. It’s about seeing for ourselves where we can make a difference for those less fortunate than us. This education and enlightenment can only lead to a more harmonious world and preservation of our natural wonders.
The name Travel Sense was created to represent the wealth of knowledge and experience that the team have to share with their clients. The perfect travel experience will also involve all of the senses – sight, taste and touch and of course require a sense of adventure!

Her warm personality and attention to detail, makes her personalised customer service skills highly sought after.
Since having her 2 children, Caren has learnt from experience about the needs of Travelling Families. This experience means an accumulation of many useful tips to help pass the time of a lengthy flight or the extra information required to make the trip more enjoyable for her customers travelling with young children.
